Hello,
This boat is situated in south Brittany, towards Lorient.
It is the ex " 3615 MET " of VDH (Jean-Luc Van den Heede).
3 Vendée Globe with VDH (3rd in 1989),
then with Gallay (Vuarnet in 1992) and finally with Radiguès (Afibel in 1996),
as well as several Transats.
Works to be made:
- A mast in carbon is available for 17 000 € with tangons 2 carbon.
- The hull is a Garcia alu. No particular problem nor of electrolyte if it is not a small surface
in the hold with sail which in summer repaired, but I do not know the history.
- Sails on board are numerous but rather used(worn out). They could possibly serve for the conveying but it will be necessary
to verify them before. New one sets of sails is to be planned.
- The engine did not turn any more for three years. A revision is imperative before the started
- there is nothing more in electronics.
The modifications brought by Radigues were it without the help of architect's cabinet office because he considered that
Mr Harlé / Mortain had to make the modifications free of charge. He(it) thus returned towards another office
without that the construction site of Sands of Olonne follow their instructions. The skittle is the one of steel Jean Yves Hasselin
extended by a metre. Originally the skittle is fixed and aluminum 325 kg for a 3 ton ballast.
Here is roughly a topo on the state of the boat and on the works to plan. It is the works that it remained to make for its last
registration in Vendée Globe 2004, but the skipper had no more the means financier.
The system of pendulum is made with pulleys on the deck, but we can block the skittle so that it remains straight.
The sleeping rigging is in ROD and in good condition because having served only once to cross the Atlantic Ocean.
The boat is for sale as is. More information on visit. |
